'George,' Minus the Kennedys

Caroline Kennedy has sold her stake in her late brother John’s George magazine, it was announced Wednesday. Jack Klinger, president and CEO of Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, confirmed the sale, although details of the transactions between the principal parties were not revealed. John Kennedy Jr. owned 50% of the magazine, which he then passed on to his sister. Caroline Kennedy said in a statement that she was “pleased” by the deal and by the fact that the political magazine will still be published. John Kennedy will continue to be listed on the masthead, as founder.
