George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin Wedding: Where They've Traveled

LONDON

It was the date that started all the buzz! A newly single Clooney dined with Alamuddin in London (where her law firm is based) at "gastronomic gem" Berners Tavern last October. Cut to the following August, when the duo returned to London to secure their marriage license for their upcoming nuptials.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Clooney took Alamuddin on the date of the century on Feb. 18: a screening of his new flick The Monuments Men … at the White House … with President Obama. Afterward, the couple grabbed a nightcap with Clooney's costars Matt Damon and Bill Murray, and "his arm was around her shoulder and she had hers around his," an onlooker told PEOPLE. "They just seemed very, very together."

SEYCHELLES

Nothing is more romantic than an island getaway! In mid-March, Clooney and Alamuddin jetted off to the remote Seychelles islands, where they were spotted strolling along the crisp white beaches of the Indian Ocean.

TANZANIA

On that same trip, they threw on some khakis and became one with the animal kingdom in Tanzania on a sunny safari, where the pair snapped photos and snuggled in the outdoors.

NEW YORK CITY

Bright lights, big city! The duo wined and dined at French restaurant Rotisserie Georgette on March 18 and stayed at Manhattan's swank Carlyle Hotel. The following day, Clooney joined his Casamigos Tequila partners Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman at a hotel conference to talk about their spirits, which he'll have plenty of at his wedding.

DUBAI

Clooney topped all typical "meet the parents" stories when he flew to exotic Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in March and joined Lebanese-born Alamuddin's family on a yacht excursion.

LOS ANGELES

There's meeting the parents, and then there's meeting the celebrity friends! The couple joined pals John Krasinski and Emily Blunt in Studio City, California, on March 27 for a double date at Kazu Sushi. The night ended with hugs all around. Success!

MALIBU

It was a tequila-fueled and karaoke-filled affair at Cafe Habana for the pair's engagement party on May 11, where Alamuddin mingled with Cindy Crawford and Bono as guests noshed on the Cuban-Mex fare at Rande Gerber's Malibu joint. Just two weeks earlier, the pair joined Crawford and Gerber in Santa Barbara, California, where Alamuddin's engagement ring was on full display.

CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO

The couple flew via private jet to Cabo San Lucas on May 1 for the beachside wedding of Clooney's pal Thom Mathews. It was a familiar place for the lovebirds: They also spent the 2013 holidays at the Mexican hotspot.

ITALY

That's amore! Though they've been almost everywhere together, Italy is the place that holds both Clooney and Alamuddin's hearts. "I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places," Clooney divulged in September. The duo dined in Venice in May and near Clooney's villa on Lake Como in August, where their mothers bonded over shopping. Alamuddin also got her chance to shine as the officiant of a cousin's wedding in Florence in July.
