Bush hasn’t released new tunes in two years, but the Gavin Rossdale-fronted rock act banded together to record a track in honor of World Refugee Day – and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the music video for the song.

“We made this video to raise awareness about the terrible plight of refugees across the world, who are forced to flee their homes for fear of violence, persecution and death,” Rossdale told PEOPLE of the new track, “People at War.” “Please stand with us and sign the petition to ask governments to work together to help. Thank you.”

Observed every year on June 20, the U.N. Refugee Agency’s World Refugee Day raises awareness about the people around the world – currently 60 million – who have been forced from their homes after conflict, persecution and human rights violations.

Rossdale is urging fans and followers to join the #WithRefugees campaign and to sign a petition asking world leaders to find solutions to the global crisis.
