Garth Brooks, 38, is being sued for allegedly limiting wheelchair seating at one of his concerts at Seattle’s Key Arena. Plaintiff Joanne Lawrence, 54, claims in her suit that “Brooks and his promoters violated the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act.” The Associated Press reports that Lawrence has filed against the country superstar once before, in 1993. (That lawsuit was settled out of court.) As she told the Seattle Times this weekend: “I’m not some kook that’s just out there to get Garth Brooks. We just want him to change what he does” to disabled people. Lawrence, who had polio as a child, uses canes, a wheelchair and a motorized scooter to get around.
