IAIN GLEN, A.K.A. JORAH MORMONT ON GAME OF THRONES
If you’re like us, you’ll be missing (read: longing for) Glen’s piercing eyes and fierce-but-gentle-but-sensual demeanor. Check him out in Jack Taylor, a gripping British detective drama based on the Ken Bruen novels, or Agatha Christie: Poirot, another sleuthing series beloved by Brits.a
AIDAN GILLEN, A.K.A. PETYR 'LITTLEFINGER' BAELISH ON GAME OF THRONES
He’s the character everyone loves to hate to be creeped out by. Gillen, like Glen, can also be found in Agatha Christie: Poirot, or you can get your fix from the U.K. Queer as Folk, in which he plays a promiscuous gay man named Stuart. a
NATALIE DORMER, A.K.A. MARGAERY TYRELL ON GAME OF THRONES
We’re assuming you’ve watched Dormer in The Hunger Games. (If you haven’t, um, what are you waiting for?!) Dormer can also be found in a – you guessed it – British detective drama. This one’s called Rebus.
JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS, A.K.A. SELINA MEYER ON VEEP
“When one door closes, another opens.” That’s an expression that never really meant anything to us until we remembered that Seinfeld is coming to Hulu on June 24, allowing us to survive Veep withdrawal by virtue of Elaine Benes’s hilarious misadventures.a
TONY HALE, A.K.A. GARY WALSH ON VEEP
While nothing can fill the gaping hole that the lack of Gary leaves in our lives, Hale makes it easy for us to keep laughing during this dark period known as Veep hiatus. Arrested Development is, of course, reliably excellent – Hale plays bumbling man children very well – or you can check him out in the films The Informant!, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard and The Answer Man.
JOEL MCHALE, A.K.A. JEFF WINGER ON COMMUNITY
First, the obvious: Follow McHale on Twitter. You won’t regret it. Then, peruse his filmography – he’s a Jeff-esque wisecracker wherever he appears, whether in What’s Your Number?, Ted or The Big Year – and catch him on The Soup.
ALISON BRIE, A.K.A. ANNIE EDISON ON COMMUNITY
Did you know Brie guest starred on an episode of Hannah Montana? If you choose to get your Annie fix elsewhere, try checking her out in The Five-Year Engagement, Save the Date or her forthcoming comedy, aptly titled Get a Job, about recent college grads (bonus: she shares the screen with Anna Kendrick and Miles Teller).
BETTY WHITE, A.K.A. ELKA OSTROVSKY ON HOT IN CLEVELAND
While you may be devastated that the TBS comedy won’t be returning for another season, find solace in the simple fact that White is EVERYWHERE. Whether you feel like revisiting her character arc on Boston Legal or The Bold and the Beautiful or even Community, you’ll get through this. (Obviously, The Golden Girls will always be there for you, too.)
MARTIN STARR, A.K.A. BERTRAM GILFOYLE ON SILICON VALLEY
You’re due for a re-watch of Freaks and Geeks. Everyone is due for a re-watch of Freaks and Geeks.a
T.J. MILLER, A.K.A. ERLICH BACHMAN ON SILICON VALLEY
We know you probably have some acquaintances – cough people you haven’t talked to since high school cough – urging you to listen to their podcasts, but we’re going to go ahead and urge you anyway to listen to Miller’s amazing podcast, http://cashinginwithtjmiller.libsyn.com/. Resolutely anti-podcast but still crave his nerdy humor? Find him hosting Mash Up on Comedy Central.
