Grammy Award-winning Fugees member Pras Michel is back on the music scene after a hiatus following a failed Fugees reunion attempt in 2006, and is giving PEOPLE an exclusive first listen of his funky new club anthem, “My Ex.”

“This is an unapologetic, hot record!” Pras says of the track. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’m very excited to finally share it with my fans.”

The song, an eclectic infusion of dance, pop and house music, is the first single from his solo album, “Experience Magic,” due in September.

Pras, who formed The Fugees with rapper Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill, also produced and starred in a 2007 documentary, Skid Row, which chronicled his nine days living on the streets of Los Angeles as a homeless man.
