A new marriage and a baby on the way won’t keep Pete Wentz from releasing a new album with fellow members of Fall Out Boy. The only question is when.

“The band is really not talking about a record yet, but we’re all itching to do one,” guitarist Patrick Stump tells, adding that at Wentz’s recent wedding to Ashlee Simpson, “we were like, ‘We should do another record.'”

Stump hopes the band performs a few concerts this year to avoid getting rusty. Meanwhile, they are concentrating on “life stuff.” While Wentz prepares to start a family, Stump is directing a short film and producing music by Gym Class Heroes.

We’re always writing,” says Stump. “We’ve had material since [2007’s] Infinity on High dropped. So there is plenty just floating around.

There is nothing ‘hiatus’ or ‘indefinite’ about what’s going on with Fall Out Boy right now.”
