Eva Longoria, Tony Parker Finalize Divorce
The three-year marriage of Eva Longoria and NBA player Tony Parker legally ended in a Texas courtroom Friday.
Her petition cited “irreconcilable differences” for the split, but immediately after news of the split there arose infidelity rumors, with claims that Tony has been unfaithful.
In her filing, Longoria sought support from Parker, 28, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs. (Longoria is a Texas native, from Corpus Christi.) The couple had a prenuptial agreement signed the month before their wedding and updated two years later.
This was Longoria’s second marriage. In 2002 she married General Hospital actor Tyler Christopher. They divorced two years later.
TMZ first reported Friday’s court appearance. But Parker’s rep confirms to PEOPLE that the divorce is final and declines any further comment.
Sunday night, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Longoria, who stars as Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives since October 2004, Tweeted from the red carpet: “Me and my other favorite latina [Modern Family star] Sofia Vergara at the SAG Awards!!”
