Emma Stone Jokes About Controversial 'Aloha' Character in 'Star Wars' Audition on 'SNL'

The sketch also features several more celebrities' hilarious 'auditions'

The force is not with any of these celebrities.

In a sketch from this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, the real J.J. Abrams shared some not-so-real screen tests from the auditions for his upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Before starting her tryout, the real Emma Stone poked fun at the controversy surrounding this summer’s Aloha, in which she, despite having no Asian background, played a character whose father was half-Chinese.

“I can play a very convincing part-Asian woman!” Stone shared with the casting directors.

The real stars of the upcoming Star Wars film also got in on the fun.

In one “audition,” John Boyega, who plays Finn in the new movie, first cracks up in disbelief and then is completely shocked upon seeing that he would be playing a black Stormtrooper.

And Daisy Ridley, who will play Rey in The Force Awakens, did chemistry tests with a fake Sofia Vergara, who wanted to know where all the Minions are; a fake John Mayer who can only communicate via his signature soft rock and the real Michael Bublé, who performed a Star Wars-themed parody of the jazz classic “Makin’ Whoopee” called “Makin’ Wookiee.”

Also featured in the hilarious auditions ws the real Jon Hamm, who brought along some of his own ideas, like how he should be addressed as “Hamm Solo.” And various SNL cast members show off their spot-on impressions of Shaq (who is auditioning to play Chewbacca), Javier Bardem, Dame Maggie Smith, Sexiest Man Alive David Beckham, original Star Wars creator George Lucas, Chris Tucker and Danny DeVito, who does an admirable job of trying out for the role of tiny robot BB-8.

Force Fun! Celebs React to the New Star Wars Trailer

J.J. Abrams really missed the boat by not writing Hamm Solo and a duet by Mayer and Bublé into the upcoming film!
