The bumpy marriage between rapper Eminem, 27, and his wife, Kimberly Mathers, 25, is finished. The Grammy winner’s label, Interscope Records, confirmed yesterday that Eminem (whose real name Marshall Mathers III) filed for divorce Wednesday morning in his hometown of Detroit. “In early June, the couple separated, and since then Eminem has come to the decision that a divorce is unavoidable,” said the Interscope statement. The two were married only last summer, though they had been together for 11 years. They have a 4-year-old daughther, Hailie Jade. In June, Eminem, who sports a tattoo that reads “Kim: Rot in Pieces,” was arrested after he allegedly pistol-whipped a man seen with Kim in the parking lot of a suburban Detroit nightclub. The rapper was subsequently charged with felony weapon and assault charges and faces up to five years behind bars. A month after the incident, Kim reportedly attempted suicide inside the couple’s home while Eminem was performing at a nearby concert.
