Miss Zimbabwe Stripped of Title for Posing Nude
Miss Zimbabwe, a.k.a. Emily Kachote, has been stripped of her title after she admitted to posing for nude photos.
The pictures leaked online last month. In response, the Miss Zimbabwe Trust dethroned Kachote, 25, for her “immoral behavior,” making this the second year in a row the country’s Miss Zimbabwe winner has lost her title, according to the Associated Press.
The organization said in a statement Wednesday that she had violated an agreement in which contestants swear they have never posed naked, nor will they ever should they win.
“Being in a relationship, sexual advances to anyone and any behavior categorized as immoral by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust is grounds for instant disqualification and dethronement,” the statement read, according to local reports.
Kachote, who works as a financial adviser, confessed that the pictures were real, shared online by an ex.
Last year’s winner, Thabiso Phiri, also lost her title after nude photos of her surfaced.
