Elway, 38, passed for 336 yards — the third highest total in Super Bowl history — as the Broncos became the first team to claim back-to-back crowns since the Dallas Cowboys won in 1992-93. Elway, who earned Most Valuable Player of the Game honors, is expected to retire after 16 years in the National Football League. Cher sang the national anthem before the game, accompanied by an 80-piece orchestra. She admitted to being extremely nervous because, she said, the event was “so awesome.” Half-time performers included Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan.
