Elton John Meets Up with His Old Schoolmates – 57 Years Later
"It was as if we never left," the singer writes of their joyful reunion
Pinner County Grammar School’s Class of 1958 held a reunion this weekend, and its most famous alumnus couldn’t have been more thrilled.
“Lunch at home with dear old school friends. Many of whom I haven’t seen for 50 years! It was as if we never left school. So much laughter and so many wonderful memories,” wrote Elton John as he posted a few photos of the occasion to Instagram.
The singer, 68, also posted a photo with his “oldest pal,” Keith Francis, calling him “a wonderful, loyal friend for 57 years and still counting! He flew all the way from Australia for our class reunion. Love you so much.”
John attended Pinner County Grammar School in London in the 1950s, when he was still going by his given name, Reginald Dwight. He left school at 17 to pursue his music career, and apparently never looked back – until now.
