“I don’t think it has to be Halloween to scare people; I do it all year long.”

With that, Ellen DeGeneres launched a supercut of her best pranks. Spoiler alert: She is very good at them.

DeGeneres has a few different scare templates in her playbook. For starters, there’s the classic “person in costume sneaks up behind guest on the couch” move, which works wonders on Miley Cyrus, Cameron Diaz and others.

But there’s also the “costumed person emerging from elaborate prop” prank that’s ensnared David Spade and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Our favorite, though, is probably the extremely elaborate “Scare Julia Louis-Dreyfus by hiding Julia Roberts in your closet.” It’s difficult, sure, but with a little hard work, you could probably pull it off too.
