Edward, Sophie: Together But Apart

Newlyweds Prince Edward and the former Sophie Rhys-Jones (now the Earl and Countess of Wessex) seem to think absence will make the heart grow fonder. According to London’s Sunday Mirror, the couple will live apart from one another half of the time, with Edward planning to spend Mondays through Wednesdays alone at Windsor Castle, while she will stay at her apartment in Buckingham Palace. (They will reportedly spend the remainder of the week together in London.) “Edward needs time to adjust, and this is the ideal arrangement,” Sophie is quoted as having told friends at the wedding. Edward ostensibly needs to do his work as a TV producer out of his Windsor pad, while Sophie’s public-relations duties keep her in town.
