Even if you yourself are a musician who's written plenty of love songs, there's still nothing more romantic than having the man behind "Thinking Out Loud" help you propose. So when Jason Boland's band, Kodaline, joined Sheeran on stage at his July 2015 Croke Park show, he seized the opportunity to pop the question to his longtime love, Etaoin Corr. We have to admit that Boland's heartfelt speech, in which he said he "couldn't imagine a day without her," might be even sweeter than Sheeran's songs.

Nobody loves love more than Sheeran – he'll even help you propose on his day off. At least, that's what he did for Rixton's Jake Roche when Roche asked Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson to marry him in July 2015. After Little Mix finished their sound check, Sheeran appeared with a guitar to serenade the couple with their favorite song on the one-year anniversary of their first meeting on that very stage. "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world rite now literally cannot stop crying," the future Mrs. Roche admitted. Awww.

It's not just his famous friends getting a helping hand from Sheeran. During a May 2015 concert, the singer interrupted his performance of "All of the Stars" to bring a couple onstage for a proposal in front of thousands, while he cheered them on from the sidelines. The super-sweet moment even got the best of Sheeran, as he tweeted that night, "I might have welled up, but don't say anything." (Us too, Ed.)

Need further proof that Sheeran is the most romantic person on the planet? How about the fact that 5 – that's right, 5! – different couples got engaged at his October 2014 at the O2 Arena. Sheeran only asked that in return he gets an invite to their weddings … and that they name their firstborn (boy, girl or pet!) after him.

Having Sheeran interrupt his song to mention you just proposed is special enough, but the singer actually masterminded Tanya Procyshyn and Pablo Benitez's engagement. Benitez ran into Sheeran at an event before the show and told him he wanted to give Procyshyn, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, the proposal of her dreams. Sheeran gave Benitez front row tickets so he could pop the question during Procyshyn's favorite song, "Thinking Out Loud." The story caught the attention of a local radio station, whose listeners helped raise money for the couple's wedding and hospital expenses.

Already engaged but still want Sheeran to make your big day extra special? Not to worry: He's available for weddings too! In March 2015, he surprised Kya and Matt Debono, whose wedding was planned by the Australian radio station Kyle and Jackie O, by singing (what else?) "Thinking Out Loud" for the couple's first dance. Pass the tissues!
