Is Ed Sheeran ready to shed his squeaky clean image?

The singer-songwriter covered Christina Aguilera‘s 2002 racy hit “Dirrty” with his own rockin’ – if slightly less risqué – version when he performed on the BBC’s Live Lounge music program on Tuesday.

Check out the YouTube video above.

The musical homage to Aguilera comes a day after she did an outstanding impression of Britney Spears on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Sheeran’s fun, however, wasn’t limited to singing.

The English-born musician, 24, also hopped onto the airwaves at U.K.’s Radio 1 with BFF Taylor Swift, 25, in tow.

Swifty & Shifty

At one point during the interview, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer tried his hand playing weatherman with a rather unique forecast.

“The weather outside is brisk. If you walk out you will get very, very pink cheeks very quickly,” he said. “You will need some lip balm because your lips will dry and that will happen. Also, there is a chance that you will step in a puddle today, so please, do not wear slippers outside.”

Good to see the gloomy English weather doesn’t appear to have dampened the pop star’s spirits.
