Robert Downey Jr. is no longer the highest-earning actor in Hollywood. That honor now belongs to a different man of steel – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Topping Forbes‘s new list of the top-grossing actors of 2013, Johnson’s star vehicles – which included the action flicks Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain and Fast & Furious 6 – took in a combined $1.3 billion in global ticket sales and cemented his place as this year’s most bankable movie star.

Downey Jr. – who topped last year’s list of highest-grossing movie stars thanks to the hugely successful The Avengers – came in a close second to Johnson this year, despite starring in Iron Man 3, the top-earning movie of 2013, which raked in $1.2 billion.

But that was Downey Jr.’s only movie of the year, while Johnson starred in four commercially successful films, including Fast & Furious 6, which grossed an impressive $789 million globally.

Also making Forbes‘s list were Steve Carell, whose film Despicable Me 2 was the second highest-grossing film at the domestic box office this year with $919 million, and Sandra Bullock, whose roles in the Golden Globe-nominated Gravity and the summer comedy The Heat earned a combined $862 million.

Johnson’s Fast & Furious costars Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker also made the list for their work in the franchise’s biggest hit yet, which made $789 million internationally.

Johnson is expected to have another big year in 2014 with starring roles in the next Fast & Furious movie, as well as Brett Ratner’s highly anticipated Hercules.
