Drew Barrymore is officially 44 and has taken to Instagram to celebrate!

The actress posted a throwback picture of herself on the morning of her 44th birthday, with the caption jokingly reading, “Seriously! I’m of age! #1982”

The photo shows a young Barrymore in a pink dress and waving to onlookers, seemingly on a red carpet.

1982 — the year Barrymore captioned the photo was from — was the same year she made her film debut in Stephen Spielberg‘s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

The Santa Clarita Diet actress continued with the posts, also sharing a screenshot of a text message she received from her pharmacy.

“Best wishes for a joyous birthday,” the text read. “Happy birthday from Zitomer Pharmacy.”

Barrymore acknowledged the pharmacy’s birthday wishes, captioning the picture, “Also being 44 @zitomerpharmacy is heaven.”

Barrymore also posted a glowing selfie in honor of her big day, with a caption that read: “44 and NEVER BETTER! Go shorty, it’s my birthday.”

Barrymore recently said “aging is a privilege” before turning 44.

“It’s about how to do it gracefully, with humor, self-love and a respect for the process, and that’s always been really important to me,” Barrymore told Glamour UK.
