Are you ready to be the next Oprah Winfrey?

Now that Dr. Mehmet Oz has left Oprah’s couch and debuts his own new syndicated talk show today, he’ll be missing his usual partner – and looking to replace her.

“I spent a lot of time debating who takes her place” says Oz. “She’s incredibly authentic and raw in her responses. I realized there is only one Oprah.”

But the heart surgeon came up with a plan.

“I decided my co-host will be this country. I have an assistant of the day. They’ll bear witness to what we are doing,” explains Dr. Oz. “If I do a show on fibroids, I’ll have a woman from the audience hold the fibroid and describe them to the audience through her emotional responses – just like Oprah has provided to America, you’ll see.”

“It’s not about me and it’s not about celebrities,” explains Oz. “It’s about you.”

Even though the show will not focus on celebrities, a few will be on hand to help out. “Core Team Oz,” the premiere’s seasons guest contributors, will include Project Runway‘s Tim Gunn and The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper.
