DONOTPUB Posh Strips Down for Marc Jacobs

The designer says Victoria and David Beckham are both "really pleased" with the naked picture

Victoria Beckham – PEOPLE’s Fashionista of the Year – recently posed nude for a Marc Jacobs T-shirt. Was she apprehensive before baring it all? Pish posh, Jacobs tells PEOPLE.

“No [she wasn’t nervous]. She’s hot and she looks amazing,” Jacobs said at David Barton Gym’s annual toy drive for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “I think both she and David are really pleased with the picture.”

The shirt is part of Jacobs’s “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign, which raises funds for skin cancer research. Last year, the shirts – featuring naked shots of Naomi Campbell, Winona Ryder, Julianne Moore and Selma Blair – brought in nearly $400,000 for the NYU School of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group.

In addition to the charity tee, Beckham has also signed on to be the new face of his spring/summer 2008 collection.

“She’s a beautiful, beautiful person inside and out,” Jacobs gushed. “She had a great sense of humor. The pictures are really funny. They’re not how people are used to seeing her.”

In the ads, the Spice Girl is seen hiding in Marc Jacobs gift boxes and shopping bags, poking fun at the way Hollywood stars are marketed and sold like products.

“Both of us thought it was a kind of perverse and ironic thing to do,” Jacobs explained. “But we agreed it would be cool for both of us, so we did it.”
