Rule #1 in politics: turn every negative into a positive.

Earlier this month, Republican Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was insulted by GOP rival Donald Trump, who took aim at her looks in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“Look at that face!,” the magazine quoted Trump as saying. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president. I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Fiorina is clearly very serious. The Carly for America Committee has released a web ad responding to Trump – although they don’t mention him by name.

The ad, called “Look at this Face,” shows Fiorina speaking at a Republican women’s event.

“Ladies, look at this face,” Fiorina says in the ad. “And look at all your faces. The face of leadership.”

“This is the face of a 61-year-old woman,” says Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard chief executive. “I am proud of every year and every wrinkle.”
