You know what a concert hall full of electronic dance music fans want? More electronic dance music. You know what is the opposite of that? Spandau Ballet’s “True.”

Presumably, the DJ who performs under the name Mashd N Kutcher knew that already when he pranked the crowd at the Good Life Festival, a Brisbane, Australia, dance music event. Performing on Monday, the DJ set his audience up for more electronic beats – and then pulled the rug out from under them with the 1983 hit.

The audience protested loudly over the trick, but since posting the video on Tuesday, it’s been viewed more than a million times and made the rounds on Reddit and other social networks.
