Adam Goldstein's mother is seeking court permission to administer his estate and recover his belongings
DJ AM’s mother Andrea Gross wants to oversee her son’s $1 million estate to clear up his financial matters, according to court papers filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The celebrity deejay (real name Adam Goldstein) did not have a will at the time of his death, leaving his mother as his sole heir. Goldstein had an annual gross income of $3.5 million and other property valued at $400,000. However, he carried a debt of $2.9 million, leaving his estate valued at approximately $1 million.
The filing, which states that Goldstein had no spouse or children, reveals the deejay was in talks to sell a home in Los Angeles prior to his death. His mother is also seeking court permission to recover his personal belongings. A court hearing is set for Oct. 7.
