Five men dressed as repairmen entered Dionne Warwick’s home in Rio de Janeiro, tied up her brother and housekeeper and stole thousands of dollars worth of goods, police said. The singer was reportedly on tour in Asia at the time. According to local press reports, about $53,000 in cash and goods were stolen during Thursday’s robbery. The thieves left behind a gold record, apparently because they were unable to pry it from the wall. Warwick’s brother and the housekeeper were not harmed. (But shouldn’t Dionne’s psychic friends have seen this coming?)
