Pals of the bride and groom-to-be, from Matt Damon to Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, are extending their best to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, now that the couple has officially announced plans to get married.

Damon, 32, who’s a longtime pal and professional colleague of Affleck, tells TV’s “Extra” that his “Good Will Hunting” costar and co-screenwriter has “never looked as happy as he is now. I’ve known him for 22 years and I’ve never seen him this happy. Even when he lost his virginity, he wasn’t this happy.”

Meanwhile, Lopez’s ex-boyfriend Combs, 32, called marriage “a beautiful thing” and said of the happy couple, “I hope it works out,” Reuters reports.

J.Lo, 33, and Combs officially announced their decision to split last year on Valentine’s Day while he was on trial in New York on weapons and bribery charges. He was later acquitted. She then married dancer Cris Judd but later separated, fueling rumors that she might reunite with P. Diddy.

It turned out, however, that Affleck, 30, became the man of the moment for Lopez. A wedding date has not been announced, but Lopez plans to tell all in an interview with Diane Sawyer Wednesday night on ABC’s “Primetime.”
