Celebrity Did Madonna Drop the C-Bomb on Ex-Husband Guy Ritchie? Rocco, the former couple's teenage son, has been living with his dad in the U.K. By Nick Maslow Nick Maslow Instagram Twitter Senior News Editor, PEOPLE People Editorial Guidelines Published on January 21, 2016 01:30 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Getty; Sipa Pop’s provocative queen is as brazen as ever before. In the midst of an international custody battle with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, Madonna shared a choice word for a former spouse at a concert, video of which is making the rounds online. According to reports, the clip was captured at her Rebel Heart tour stop in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday. “I’m looking for a husband, not a c—,” Madonna, 57, spoke into the mic as a fan proposed to her in the audience. “I already married a c—.” Madonna didn’t indicate which of her ex-husbands inspired the bold statement. The music icon was first married to Sean Penn, 55, from 1985 to 1989. Despite divorcing, the former couple have remained on good terms, as Madonna defended Penn in a defamation lawsuit against Lee Daniels in December and sang the actor’s praises at his Help Haiti Home charity gala in January. However, relations with Ritchie, 47, have taken a turn for the worse. The former pair, whose eight-year marriage ended in divorce in 2008, are embroiled in a contentious custody dispute over their son Rocco. After joining his mom on the road for her concert dates, Rocco headed to the U.K. in December to live with his father. The 15 year old refused to return to the U.S. for the holidays, prompting Madonna’s appearance in a New York courtroom on Dec. 23. A New York judge reportedly ordered Rocco’s return, but the teen remained with his dad. Both Madonna and Ritchie are due in court for a second hearing on Feb. 3. “They don’t have a good relationship; it’s more of a power fight between them and if he can one-up her,” a friend of the former couple told PEOPLE this month. “This is the best way he can do it.” But a Ritchie source contended the case isn’t personal, telling PEOPLE, “Madonna has long misrepresented him.” The source added: “Perhaps the best example of this is her subsequent sentiment that he liked to film her unflatteringly during their marriage in Swept Away and various videos.”
