Go east, young men? Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire are considering signing on to play the two male leads in the Kenneth Lonergan play “This Is Our Youth,” reports Variety. The two would follow in the footsteps of other hot young actors including Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, who appeared in the production in May, and Hayden Christensen (“Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones”) and Jake Gyllenhaal (“October Sky”), who appeared in March. There’s no buzz yet on who would play the female lead, though Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst have both reportedly been to see the show. Lonergan’s 1996 play is a tragicomic look at three young Manhattanites and takes place during the mid-1980s. Lonergan, whose film credits include the much-anticipated “Gangs of New York,” and “Gangs” star DiCaprio, 28, got to know each other during filming of the movie. “Youth” co-producer Clare Lawrence told Variety that a firm decision is “about a month away.” Maguire, 27, won critical praise for his work in 1999’s “The Cider House Rules.”
