DiCaprio as the Godson?

Leonardo DiCaprio as the young Sonny Corleone? Francis Ford Coppola and writer Mario Puzo are reportedly working on a fourth installment of their “Godfather” movie series, and Leo may have a prominent role in the project. The Hollywood Reporter quotes sources as saying that DiCaprio is “already on board,” along with Andy Garcia, who costarred in 1990’s “The Godfather Part III.” (That third part of the series was generally considered to be a disappointment, after the blockbuster first two “Godfather” movies, in 1972 and ’74.) In the very first film, James Caan played the hot-headed Corleone son, who ends up being bumped off. Leo would allegedly play that role in a prequel to the original. DiCaprio’s representatives are saying any announcement of the project is premature, but they are not denying it.
