Deric Peace is from Bennington, Vermont, and he is now Internet-famous for putting candy in the ice maker-section of his refrigerator.

“I love candy, I love making things easier, and making non-useful things (to me) more so,” he wrote in a Reddit post.

Peace’s original video, “Candy from the auto ice maker!,” was uploaded Thursday and has received more than 1,580,602 page views.

In it, he describes how to place miniature candies in the ice-dispensing section of a refrigerator so that when you activate the ice-making function, instead of ice in your glass, you get candy.

The video was in response to Peace’s original post, which was a picture of his fridge’s ice dispenser filled with candy.

The video above show Peace repeating the experiment, but with the refrigerator’s ice maker on the “crush” setting. It has more than 48,000 views.

“Pretty much the same thing,” Peace says of the results. “I think this would actually go really well on top of ice cream.”

Now, go see your dentist.
