Sing it, Demi Lovato!

The pop star, 23, put her powerhouse voice to work on Hozier’s “Take Me to Church,” and the cover has already gone viral. One day after Lovato hit the high notes at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge in London on Wednesday, the video boasts more than 1 million views on YouTube.

Closing her eyes while belting out Hozier’s melodies with gusto, Lovato made her passionate rendition all about the music. The reminder of her strength with ballads follows up her upbeat and racy performance of “Cool for the Summer” at the MTV VMAs in August.

The former Disney star’s recent appearances are building up to the release of her new album Confident on Sept. 20.

Lovato isn’t the only diva to master Hozier’s song – Annie Lennox was praised for making it her own at the Grammy Awards in February.
