Celebrity Demi Lovato Mourns Death of Her Uncle: 'We Are So Grateful You're At Peace Now' After a year of losing family and pets, Demi Lovato had to say goodbye to another uncle By Naja Rayne Published on January 25, 2016 10:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Getty; Instagram Demi Lovato has lost another family member. The “Confident” singer announced the death of her uncle in a tweet on Saturday. “Too much death. #RIP to my Uncle Jeff,” Lovato wrote. A day later, the 23-year-old took to Instagram, posting a longer tribute to her late uncle and added that she chose the particular photo because he looks “happy and healthy.” “This will always be my favorite picture of my uncle Jeff.. Not only because he’s wearing an elf hat and an X factor shirt on Christmas Day a few years ago, but because he looks happy and healthy,” the singer captioned the pic. “We are so grateful you’re at peace now.. Take care of Uncle Billy and Papa while you’re up there. We love you and miss you already.. #RIP.” This is the second time in just a few months that tragedy has struck Lovato and her family. In November, she posted a similar message on Instagram, along with a smiling black and white photo of her Uncle Billy. Lovato’s also lost some furry family members in the past year. In July, she and boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama lost their dog Buddy to a "tragic accident". Months later in December, the couple lost another pet, their Doberman Spawn. Before sharing her post about her Uncle Jeff, Lovato remembered her dogs in a separate Instagram post. “Missing our babies right now #puppyheaven,” she captioned the pic of Buddy and Spawn together.
