Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas' 'Glamorous' Life on Tour Includes Traffic Stops, Stolen Scooters and Late-Night CVS Runs
The superstars run into a few obstacles before hitting the stage in Atlanta for their Future Now Tour
If you thought life on tour was all glitz and glam, this might just change your mind.
“That’s Jimmy, our driver, dealing with the law,” explains host Dave Osokow as the entire tour bus is pulled over for a traffic stop. Jokes Jimmy: “The police is after me, man! He said I didn’t signal!”
But not to worry, they’re quickly back on the road and make a quick pitstop at a local CVS for some “essentials,” says Jonas. (We’re guessing there were some pretty excited fans at the pharmacy that night).
When the crew finally makes it to Atlanta, Jonas and Lovato serve sweet treats to their fans – but mother nature throws a wrench into their plans. “It is raining sideways,” says one fan.
“We got rained out. We’re soaking wet,” Lovato says afterwards, as Jonas adds that “mother nature didn’t agree with us today. But guess what? F– mother nature.”
As Lovato – who just released her sultry music video for her new single “Body Say” – preps for the big show at Philips Arena, the singer discovers one of her prized possessions, a Uscooter, is missing.
“Somebody stole my f–ing scooter. Take, take take,” she jokes after the culprit – Philymack’s Damian Désirée – is found. (Her adorable dog Batman also makes a cameo).
After singing in front of a sold-out crowd and bringing Atlanta native T.I. on stage, Lovato and Jonas celebrate backstage. “We did it! Future Now!” says Lovato. “No big deal.”
On Friday, Jonas kicked off July 4 weekend at WALL Miami, where he and a large group of friends took shots of Dobel Tequila while letting loose.
