After taking a group ride with Gwen Stefani, Julia Roberts and George Clooney, Late Late Show host James Corden once again hit the carpool lane – this time with Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas

The longtime friends hopped in the car with Corden on Monday night as part of the late night host’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment.

Lovato and Jonas, who are heading out on a summer tour together, also took the time to explain their relationship to Corden, with Lovato teasing Jonas about former girlfriends Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.

Jonas confirmed he dated the stars while he wore his purity ring – and gamely explained why he later chose to take the ring off.

“I had a real relationship – with an adult – and I fell in love, actually,” Jonas said. “I fell in love and I felt it was time to take the purity ring off.”

(Jonas doesn’t name the woman, but recently told Out his new album is inspired by his breakup with longtime girlfriend Olivia Culpo – and called their two years together “the most meaningful relationship I’ve ever been in.”)

As for whether or not Jonas and Lovato, both 23, have ever been romantically involved together, the pair assured Corden it’s never happened. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I kind of go for older guys” Lovato teased Jonas. “No offense!”

Later, the pair sang their way through the duo’s catalog of hits, including Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” “Stone Cold” and Jonas’s “Chains” and “Close.”

Nick even took a stab at the hit single “Cake By the Ocean,” from brother Joe‘s band DNCE.

In a rare carpool karaoke move, Corden even pulled the car over for a street-side performance of Lovato’s “Confident” after auditioning their new “band” with an a cappella version of Jonas’s “Jealous.”
