Last Sunday Desperate Housewives fans saw nosy neighbor Martha Huber get strangled – but viewers haven’t seen the last of her.

Christine Estabrook, who plays Huber, tells PEOPLE she made a desperate bid with producers to survive: “I said, ‘Please don’t kill me. I’m begging you!'”

Luckily for Estabrook, Martha will return, perhaps in flashbacks. In fact, the actress says she has already shot two more episodes – but is mum about the details.

Producers may be wise to keep Estabrook’s character coming back: Last Sunday when her character was whacked by Paul Young (played by Mark Moses), the show drew its biggest audience yet with 27 million viewers. It proved to be the most popular program on television during Thanksgiving week, according to Nielsen Media Research.

As for housewifey gossip about her hot castmates, says Estabrook: “All these women are so teeny. Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) is the only one I ever see eat.”
