David and I were partners for over a decade in love, life and business.” “We are about to be parents of two beautiful children,” the statement continues. “Our children are and always will be siblings – and I am hopeful that David will take a step back from his anger and his desire to publicly try our marital conclusion, and instead address this most personal of issues in a private, mature and fair manner – as I have always done and will continue to do.” Jurica’s request for privacy comes after Tutera responded to allegations that Jurica made in a divorce filing about alleged sexual indiscretions that the TV personality committed. In the papers, which TMZ.com obtained, Jurica wrote, “After repeated attempts at marriage counseling and therapy, we have been unable to save our relationship due to [Tutera’s] addiction to sex.” He also alleged his husband hired prostitutes. Tutera fired back, blasting the allegations as “lies” and saying, “I believe them to be fabrications of a desperate individual in order to gain a legal advantage in our separation.” Jurica and Tutera married in September 2003 in Vermont, where same-sex marriage is legal, and they have a domestic partnership in California, where they lived. (Same-sex marriage is not legally recognized in California.) The couple separated on New Year’s Day 2013 and are both fighting for custody of twins that they’re expecting via a surrogate in July. An attorney for Tutera defended the star. “David is a wonderful man and will be a terrific father. It’s unfortunate that the relationship wasn’t able to sustain,” says Michael Collum. “I think that Ryan needs to take responsibility for his own conduct. I don’t see that that has happened yet.” David Tutera Responds to Husband’s Claims of Sexual Addiction
