David Lynch Shoots More Twin Peaks Footage in L.A.
It's likely to be part of the series' upcoming Blu-Ray release
In great news for FBI agents, logs and damn fine cups of coffee everywhere, David Lynch shot more footage for his cultishly adored series Twin Peaks in L.A. on Tuesday.
A casting call for a “HOT Caucasian girl – BRUNETTE OR REDHEADS ONLY” went out in L.A., advertising for a day of shooting on Tuesday. (“Busty, very period looking face” was also a descriptor, which we assume is referring to two different things; we’re unsure of how one can have a “busty face.”) The shoot was advertised as a Twin Peaks promo directed by Lynch, but no further details were made available. (The series is scheduled for an upcoming Blu-Ray release, so it’s likely this promo is related to that.)
Geek Tyrant helpfully points out that Laura Palmer told Special Agent Dale Cooper that she’d see him again in 25 years in the series’ final episode. Though airing in 1990 and ’91, the series was set in ’89, so – gasp – that makes 2014 the scheduled time frame for that reunion. Then again, who ever knows what David Lynch is planning?
Diane, take a note: We’re very excited about this.
