The former Baywatch star and wife Pamela Bach call it quits after 16 years

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff is single again.

“David Hasselhoff and his wife Pamela Bach have decided to end their marriage due to irreconcilable differences, and he has filed for divorce,” Judy Katz, the New York-based publicist for the actor-musician, said in a statement Thursday.

“The couple have agreed to an amicable settlement. They have been married for l6 years,” Katz added.

Hasselhoff, 53, and Bach, 42, wed in December 1989. They have two teenage daughters.

Details on custody and property issues were not disclosed.

Hasselhoff played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on the syndicated “sun-and-surf” series from 1989 to 2000. He also starred in the 1980s TV series Knight Rider, in which his character, Michael Knight, teamed with a talking Pontiac Trans Am sports car to fight crime.

He was previously married to actress Catherine Hickland, from 1984-89. That union also ended in divorce. They had no children.

Bach has appeared on the soap opera The Young and The Restless and in numerous episodes of Baywatch and Knight Rider.
