Married to David for 10 years (the two welcomed son Duncan Jones in 1971), Angie was informed of David’s death off-camera. “I haven’t seen him for so many years,” she says in the Diary Room after being told that David, 69, had died Sunday from cancer. “I can’t make a big drama out of it. I just feel like an era has ended with his passing. I’m so very sad.” Seen breaking down on camera, Angie, 66, is joined in the room by John Partridge and David Gest. “Stardust is gone,” she says as they console her. “Following the very sad news of David Bowie’s death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives,” Channel 5, the network that airs the show in the U.K., said to PEOPLE in a statement. “She has taken the decision to continue in the programme. The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time of she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed,” the statement continued.
