Lauren Sanchez, former host of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, and her husband, agent Patrick Whitesell, welcomed their first child, a son, on Thursday, PEOPLE has confirmed.

The baby boy was born around 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., Sanchez’s brother, Michael Sanchez, tells PEOPLE.

The new uncle said the baby weighed just under 7 lbs. and looks like his dad. As for mom and dad: “They are both absolutely thrilled,” said Michael.

Lauren Sanchez, 36, married Whitesell, 41, last August in a star-studded ceremony in Santa Barbara. Among the 250 guests were several of the groom’s clients at the high-powered Endeavor agency, including Jessica Alba, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck (who brought his wife, Jennifer Garner) and Hugh Jackman – who sang “Mack the Knife,” PEOPLE reported.

After the “I dos,” Whitesell sealed the deal with his bride. “The kiss was long,” said wedding planner Marianne Weiman-Nelson. “You could tell they’re in love.”
