One protective dad didn’t just make a promise to his daughter’s homecoming date – he also acted it out in the most hysterical way possible.

“He made the comment, ‘Whatever you do to my daughter, I’ll do to you,’ ” Sharee Schock told ABC of her husband, Ben. “We kind of giggled.”

Schock, from West Salem, Wisconsin, then took a picture of Ben wrapping his arms around his daughter’s boyfriend and posted it on Facebook side-by-side with an image of the couple in the same position.

“My husband’s a giant child,” she said. “We were dying laughing, all the families. There was nothing mean in it.”

Schock told the news outlet that both her 15-year-old daughter Ricarra and her boyfriend were on board with the joke.

“The boyfriend had specifically requested it,” she said. “He thought it was hilarious.”

The teen even shared it on Instagram with the caption “Man of his word.”

The original picture on Facebook has amassed over 36,000 likes since it was posted on Oct. 11.
