What happened in Vegas definitely stayed in Vegas, thanks to one not-so tech-savvy dad.

Irishman Joseph Griffin used a GoPro camera and selfie stick while on a recent trip to Las Vegas, but accidentally filmed the entire thing in selfie mode.

“So… Gave my Dad my GoPro while he was in Las Vegas, I did not, however, instruct him on how to use it,” Evan Griffin, Joseph’s son wrote in the description for his dad’s video on YouTube.

Evan uploaded the video to YouTube on Nov. 13, giving it the title, “An Irishman in Vegas.”

In the four-minute-17-second video, Joseph is seen looking at the camera as he describes his surroundings, believing the camera is capturing the trip.

“Aww, look at that,” he says in the video. “I think the [Grand Canyon] is that way.”

He even throws in a “Vegas, baby.”

“They went for my [mom’s] birthday, so I gave [the GoPro] to them,” Evan explained to JOE.IE, an Irish news website. “All the footage is from the first day because my dad later took it swimming without the waterproof case and fried it so missed out on the Grand Canyon and everything.”

The video has amassed more than 6 million views and garnered international attention. The father’s mess-up even caused a GoPro official to weigh in.

A comment from the company reads: “Classic dad move! What happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas.”
