Tom Cruise sued a porn actor for $100 million on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, charging that Chad Slater, who is also known as Kyle Bradford, spread a false story that he and Cruise had a gay love affair that wrecked Cruise’s marriage to Nicole Kidman. The Cruise/Kidman union broke up in February. In his legal papers, Cruise, 38, says that Bradford, 25 (as stated on an erotic Web site) told his story to Actustar magazine and that a Spanish version of the same article appeared in TVyNovelas. “There is not a germ of truth to this vicious, self-promoting story,” the lawsuit charges. “While Cruise thoroughly respects others rights to follow their own sexual preference, he is not a homosexual and had no relationship of any kind with Kyle Bradford and does not even know him.” “I have never spoken to ‘Actustar’ magazine, and have never said any of the statements allegedly said by me,” Bradford responded on his Web site. “The things being reported internationally are totally untrue and hurtful to all parties.”
