"It's not that I haven't tried Botox – but I hated it," the star, 44, says

A star’s best friend? Her dermatologist.

But advises Courteney Cox Arquette, be careful when removing wrinkles.

“Botox? I think it’s fantastic and also horrible,” the Friends and Dirt star tells November’s Marie Claire. “I mean, they’ve come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly.”

Of her own experience with Botulinum Toxin Type A – which, properly administered, can smooth out facial lines – the petite brunette, 44, admits, “I went to this doctor once, and he was like, ‘Oh, let me do it just here and here and here.’ And I was miserable. I mean, I’m an actor, I’ve got to be able to move my face.

Having gone through that, she says, “When people start messing with their foreheads and can’t lift their eyebrows, that’s weird. It’s not that I haven’t tried Botox – but I hated it.”

As for the major leap into facing the knife, first she must face another hurdle: husband David Arquette, who loves her as she is. He’s against plastic surgery.

“It’s really important to him,” says Cox Arquette. “He loves the aging process. He thinks it’s beautiful, [so] I’m under pressure to not do anything.”
