We have a feeling the person who inspired Connor Franta would be pretty impressed by the vlogger’s career.

Franta, 22, tells PEOPLE he admires Steve Jobs’s unmatched success as an innovation trailblazer and creative genius. “He made the impossible possible, in a way,” he says.

And it’s an entrepreneurial spirit he clearly shares.

In addition to racking up almost 5 million subscribers on YouTube – thanks to a variety of videos that range from candy taste tests to comedy skits to day-in-the-life vlogs – Franta has already released a best-selling memoir, started his own line of locally roasted coffee (Common Culture Coffee) and launched his own record label. Next up: He’s heading to VidCon this week.

Oh, yeah, and did we mention that he’s only 22 years old?

“I do a spectrum of things,” Franta said with a laugh.
