Despite such high-profile names as “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker tossing their hats into the ring, Comedy Central has found its new president by staying close to home, reports Variety. The cable network has apparently selected Larry Divney, 55, the Comedy Central’s longtime executive vice president of advertising sales. Insiders say the Divney announcement could come as early as today. Divney would replace Doug Herzog, who left Comedy Central at the end of 1998 to become president of the Fox Entertainment Group.
