Winners Circle: Inside the CMAs Photo Booth
"I'm two for two!" Bryan said of winning the night's top honor – entertainer of the year – for a second time. "Hearing your name called is a weird sensation. I don't know how to describe it," he said. "It's an amazing feeling."
The country star left the show with three major awards (but his biggest win of the night was arguably his duet with Justin Timberlake). "It felt so good up there, and I'm glad it felt good to everyone watching it. We had a blast," he said, adding, "I was surprised to be here at all, so to win one – or two or three or anything at all – is a surprise."
MADDIE & TAE
After taking home honors for music video of the year for "Girl in a Country Song" – their first career video – the singers were overwhelmed with appreciation. "Making the video, we were kind of nervous about how it would be received because it was such a bold message," they told PEOPLE. "But we were welcomed with open arms! It was incredible."
LORI MCKENNA, LIZ ROSE AND HILLARY LINDSEY
The writers of "Girl Crush" – who won Song of the Year – were not expecting a win. In fact, they were playing a game when the news was announced. "We were sitting in the audience with our husbands and whispering to each other through our husbands' ears. I would tell my husband something and tell him to tell Liz, and she would tell her husband and he would tell Lori. It was like a game of telephone," Hillary said.a
In typical Gilbert fashion, the country star showed up in a cap and flaunted his scruff for all to see. You know, what else would you wear to PEOPLE'saCMAs booth?
