“Fargo” filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen think they have just the right prescription for George Clooney. Two weeks after hanging up his “ER” stethoscope for good, PEOPLE Magazine Sexiest Man Alive for 1997 has signed to make his next movie, “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?,” for the moviemaking brothers, reports Variety. He will play the leader of three escapees from a chain gang in the 1930s. The picture follows their misadventures in Mississippi and other Southern locales as they try to elude a tracker. Clooney, who left the successful NBC medical series to concentrate on features, last starred in Steven Soderbergh’s critically appreciated (but box-office underperformer) “Out of Sight,” based on an Elmore Leonard novel. He’s currently working opposite Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube in a Gulf War drama feature, “Three Kings.”
