Céline Dion Meets Richard Dunn, Man Behind Viral 'All by Myself' Video
The pop star invited Dunn to come and see her Las Vegas show on July 4
The man whose Céline Dion lip-synch went viral in June is no longer all by himself – in fact, he met his idol.
Richard Dunn filmed himself rocking out to Dion’s 1996 cover of “All by Myself” while stranded overnight at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. On Friday night, he returned to Sin City to see the diva perform live at Caesars Place, even scoring a meet-and-greet backstage, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime memory I never thought would happen but will last forever,” Dunn told the paper.
Touched by his “hilarious” tribute, Dion reached out to her dedicated fan with a YouTube video of her own after Dunn’s made headlines.
“Next time, you know, you’re stuck all by yourself at Las Vegas airport for hours and hours, please be my guest at my show,” she said in the June 12 clip. “By the way, Richard, you’re more than welcome to use my bathroom. So I hope to see you soon!”
It looks like Dunn took her up on that offer. As Dion herself sings, “love comes to those who believe it, and that’s the way it is.”
