The genetically gifted apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. And so it should come as no surprise that while both are still in their teens, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber‘s two childrenKaia, 14, and Presley Gerber, 16 – are already a much-sought after commodity in the modeling world.

When both of your parents started off as models, it must be difficult not to feel the pressure but it’s not a career path that either parent feels should be forced.”

“I think that we just want our kids to be happy, and do what they want to do, and support them,” Crawford told reporters while attending The Heart Foundation Event Honoring Mike Meldman in Beverly Hills, alongside husband Gerber, on Saturday. “In terms of modeling it’s like, I wouldn’t talk them out of it, but I’m not pushing them in that way.”

But then again, if your mother is Cindy Crawford…

“If they do choose to do that I feel like I can give them good advice,” the 50-year-old says with a smile. “But at the same time they’re 14 and 16. It depends on the day that you ask them what they [want to do].”

Teens will be fickle, but both Kaia and Presley have the good fortune to not only be preternaturally good-looking, but well looked after.

“What they want to do,” Gerber says, chiming in. “What they’re going to do. We just [let them] find they’re own way.”
